Larry Hughes has won his Primary, capturing more votes than any candidate in either Primary including the incumbent. Hughes is taking a different approach, interviewing for the job rather than campaigning. "Each candidate should put forward their resume and portfolio of accomplishments and allow our employers, the taxpayers, to select based solely on merit" Hughes said.

Florida Today on Innovative Property Tax Plan -
 

Florida Today's Susanne Cervenka did an excellent article on my proposal to use property taxes as a deterrent for landlords who allow the use of their properties for drug production. Not surprisingly, my opponents for the Property Appraiser Office immediately dismissed the concept as a publicity stunt.
